Using the Windows Client

There are 3 ways to start the Win-Hand client:

1) By Clicking Start; then the Win-Hand Client icon
(if you have Win-Hand installed on this PC)

2) By Inserting a memory stick configured to run Win-Hand
(if you have Win-Hand on that Memory Stick)

3) By Right clicking the Win-Hand icon and selecting "Connect to another PC..."
(if you have Win-Hand installed on this PC)

The toolbar is how you control the Software. If it disapear, simply press any key (like a shift key) and it will come back.

The first button "Maximizes" or "Restore" the view of the remote PC. It is great when you want your remote PC's display to ocupy the entire portion of your Mobiles' display. If your remote PC's display is larger than your Mobile's, you will be able to do "panning" by moving your mouse near the edges of your Mobile display.

The next 4 buttons control the number of colors used during a session. You may want to change those to accelerate a session when used on a slow communication link like a wireless connection or a 56K modem.

Then you have the Hang up button to terminate a session.

The File Upload button may be used to send a file from your Mobile PC to the Remote PC being accessed. You may preffer to use the File Transfer Drag & Drop Feature described here...

Then you have the option to Restore or Save the image of a session to a file.

Finally, you have the Mechanic key allowing you to change a few prefference settings and Access your Win-Hand account information.
