How to Connect as a Temporary Guest
(sharing your display on demand)
(requires version 8.3 or after)
Perfect for customer support:
A Temporary Guest is an existing Win-Hand user who will connect (only once) to someone's PC.
The PC's operator will invite the Guest for a single & non-recurring session by providing a Guest Password.
Here is how it works:
1) The PC's operator downloads Win-Hand from the web site
2) The PC's operator runs the installer and select Install (don't worry => Win-Hand will not be installed)
3) Select "Allow someone access this PC now (no installation)..."
4) The following dialog will come up: (if Win-Hand was running on that PC, a re-install will occur)
At any time (during a session or not): the PC's operator may
change the Guest Access Privileges or Terminate the Invitation
5) The Guest will tell the PC operator the Win-Hand Account ID to use
6) The Operator will tell the Guest which Password was used (Hint: mix alphabetic & digits)
7) The Guest will start the Win-Hand Client and click "Guest Connections" (v8.4 of after)
8) Under "Temporary Guest", enter the Account ID, Guest Password, then click "Login & Wait for the PC..."
9) To initiate the connection, the PC's operator must click on "Connect to that Guest now..."
